My New Favorite Book
Mine's The Hunger Games....what's YOUR new favorite book?
I've already put a hold request on Mockingjay, the last book in the trilogy, and it won't be out until 8/24/10. I like to be prepared, and I have to find out what happens to Katniss.
They are going to make this book into a movie: who would make a good Katniss? Who would make a good Rue?
Lots of thanks to Michelle C. for recommending this book to me!

Summer Reading 2010: Make Waves at Your Library

It's so easy: stop by the library and pick up some Teen Reading Logs. You'll recognize them because of the mythical goat-wizard on the cover. The log is covered with boxes. Put an X in a box when you've read for 15 minutes. Manga counts....comic books count...books count....magazines count. Have fun! Make sure to put your name and phone number on the Reading Log and put it in the large wooden box on the Teen Reading Table. You must turn in all your reading logs by Friday, July 23rd, 2010.
Then, just attend the PRIZE AUCTION on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. We will give you a credit card with the fake money you have earned by reading and/or volunteering this summer. You can use the credit card to bid on prizes, in our famous silent auction. Remember, if you can't attend the auction, you can send a mom or a friend or an auntie to bid for you.
Good luck and have fun!
